The Northern Trust Open Collegiate Showcase will be Feb. 15 at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades. Fourteen collegiate golfers will represent their respective universities while playing with PGA Tour pros and two amateur boosters.

Top-ranked Jordan Spieth, Paul Casey, Jimmy Walker, Luke Donald and J.B. Holmes are among top names committed to the best-ball competition that earns the university’s golf program a donation of $50,000. Each collegian in the group will play his own ball, with low medalist earning a spot in the Northern Trust Open that begins Feb. 18.

Showcase tickets are $19, available at www.NorthernTrustOpen.com or at the gate, and anyone under the age of 18 can attend free of charge.  Free parking for the day is available at Paul Revere Middle School (1450 Allenford Ave.). Gates will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., with limited concessions available. Also, photos are permitted and an autograph area will be open. All proceeds from the Northern Trust Open Collegiate Showcase ticket sales will benefit City of Hope.

Wake Forest’s Will Zalatoris shot a 67 (-4) in the last year’s inaugural Northern Trust Open Collegiate Showcase and is back to defend his title.

“I’m flat out excited to be back,” Zalatoris said. “It is one of my favorite days all year.

Whoever goes the lowest that Monday will play one of the best golf courses in the world with some of the best players in the world. It was a wonderful opportunity on many levels last year, and I’ll be playing to do it again.”

Fans and alumni can follow the action via the Northern Trust Open’s social media channels, with tee times from 8-10:30 a.m. off No. 1 and No. 10 tees. PGA Tour players representing USC and UCLA will be Jamie Lovemark and Kevin Chappell.
