Feeling and executing the proper swing for your wedge game requires repetition and a good drill. This one works for me and hopefully will for you:

Start in your wedge posture.

Make a forward swing and finish tall, at your natural height. A good feeling for this is to imagine that you’re a puppet on string. Your chest and arms also should be facing the target.

Repeat five times, making sure the club drags a little on the grass as you turn to your finish to get a sense of where your swing bottoms out.

From the same posture, make a backswing that will let you get to the finish you just worked on. The club should brush the ground and you should finish tall. If you can do that you’ll hit more solid wedge shots and be able to control your distance.
