The third annual HOPE Tournament: Building Brighter Futures for Families Affected by Domestic Violence will be held Aug. 10 at Marbella Country Club in San Juan Capistrano. The event is a benefit for Laura’s House and its mission of ending the silence of domestic violence.

“Each year, the tournament raises critical funds that directly impact the lives of the families we serve, as events like this help bring us closer to providing a safe refuge and support services to all families who need them in our community,” said Margaret Bayston, CEO and executive director of Laura’s House. “Despite the estimated need for nearly 4,000 emergency shelter beds for victims of domestic violence in Orange County, less than 400 currently exist.”

The tournament begins at 10 a.m. with registration and contests and concludes at 5:30 p.m. with a stationed dinner and silent and live auctions.

Sponsorship packages are still available and range from $300 to $25,000. Individual player fee is $250. Dinner tickets are $50. For questions regarding event sponsorship, visit https://laurashouse-1849.wedid.it/ or contact Melanie Galloway at mgalloway@laurashouse.org or (949) 361-3775.

All proceeds benefit Laura’s House Emergency Shelter and transitional housing programs, the 24-hour domestic violence crisis hotline, legal support services and counseling and community education programs.
