Orange County’s Beau Hossler is among five new young players added to the TaylorMade stable. He joins Jon Rahm, Jordan Niebrugge, Romain Langasque and Jonathan Garrick as the newest members of the Carlsbad company’s playing staff.

Hossler, who decided to leave Texas after three seasons, concluded his amateur career atop Golfweek’s men’s collegiate individual ranking, No. 2 in the Scratch Players World Amateur Ranking and No. 3 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. The alum of Santa Margarita High also received the 2016 Haskins Award, presented to the most outstanding male collegiate golfer of the year as voted on by peers, coaches and golf media.

Hossler won five tournaments while competing for the Longhorns in 2016 – the third most in a season at Texas, behind Ben Crenshaw’s seven in 1973 and six in 1972. In all, he had six college victories and three All-America honors. During that period, he also won the Western Amateur (2014) and Jones Cup Invitational (2016) and played on the 2015 U.S. Walker Cup team. He also won the Junior World competition for his age group in 2011.

Hossler, currently recovering from a shoulder injury, will make his professional debut later this year and will play a full bag of TaylorMade clubs and ball in addition to wearing adidas Golf footwear and apparel.

“I’m confident in calling this the most impressive rookie class in recent memory,” Chuck Presto, senior vice president of Global Sports Marketing for TaylorMade, said about the five newcomers. “We’re elated to officially welcome Beau to our rookie class, and we look forward to watching them all shine on golf’s biggest stages.”
