On the eve of the PowerShares QQQ Championship, fans will be invited to Sherwood Country Club on Thursday, Oct. 27, for Community Champions Day, where they will have the opportunity to witness the legends of both golf and tennis, as well as take part in a complimentary golf clinic. The inaugural PowerShares QQQ Championship, part of the PGA TOUR Champions newly introduced Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs, tees off October 26-30.

 Community Champions Day will offer free admission for all guests at Sherwood Country Club, as they witness the top 72 players in the Charles Schwab Cup standings prepare their games for the inaugural Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs. While taking in the action, fans can enjoy lunch from on-course concessions, and preview the Pro-Am event where participants are paired with professionals to compete for the day.

 Fans can then take a break from watching the likes of Bernhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie and Miguel Angel Jimenez play in their Pro-Am and head to the driving range to take part in a free golf clinic. Fans will have the opportunity to feed off the inspiration of watching golf’s legends by learning how to improve their swings in this informative and entertaining clinic.

 The Sherwood Country Club will host a PowerShares Series Tennis Event, The SoCal Honda Dealers Helpful Cup Presented by PowerShares QQQ, featuring Andy Roddick, Jim Courier, James Blake and Mardy Fish.  All general parking for Community Champions Day is complimentary and will be located on site in Lot 4. The full schedule of Community Champions Day is as follows:

9 a.m.     Gates Open / Golf Course Open for Spectating Pro-Am (Free to All)

10 a.m.    PowerShares Series “Play with the Pros” Exhibition (Free to All)

1 p.m.     PowerShares QQQ Championship Golf Clinic (Free to All)

2 p.m.     PowerShares Series Tennis Competition Begins (Tickets Available)

5 p.m.     All Gates Close

Tickets to the PowerShares QQQ Championship are still available for fans to watch the best of the PGA TOUR Champions vie for the season-long Charles Schwab Cup title. Good-Any-One-Day daily grounds tickets are available for $29, while fans can enjoy three days of grounds access for just $59 (Friday-Sunday). Clubhouse tickets are also available starting at $59 for a daily pass and $119 for a three-day pass (Friday-Sunday). The current prices for both grounds and clubhouse tickets will be valid until October 17.

 As part of its charitable focus, the tournament established the “Buy Now. Give One.” charity ticket initiative for the 2016 event. For every daily grounds ticket purchased between June 1 and October 17, the PowerShares QQQ Championship will donate a ticket to local charities through the Sherwood Cares Foundation. The program does not apply to weekly grounds tickets or Daily or Weekly Clubhouse tickets purchased.
