Womanology, a new event at this year’s Toshiba Classic, will be held Friday, Oct. 7, at 7:30 a.m. at Newport Beach Country Club.

Brooks; Anusha Wijeyakumar, MA, CPC, RYT, and Stephanie Buehler from Hoag For Her Center for Wellness; Dr. Heather Macdonald from Hoag’s High Risk Breast Program; and Dr. Patty De Marco of the Hoag Women’s Mental Health Program.

For the past four years, the Toshiba Classic has devoted a special event specifically for women. Previously, the tournament featured a Women’s Business Day that served as a networking event. Recognizing women’s health issues are constantly evolving, the Toshiba Classic decided that the Womanology platform was more relevant to issues facing women today. Seating is limited for the brunch affair. For tickets, contact Gus Scheidemann at gscheidemann@ToshibaClassic.com. Attendees are also invited to stay to watch the golf tournament that begins that day as wel..

This year’s tournament is headlined by rookie John Daly and defending champion Duffy Waldorf. Also scheduled to appear are World Golf Hall of Famer’s Mark O’Meara, Bernhard Langer and Hale Irwin. Daily $25 tickets are on sale at Roger Dunn Golf Shops and online at www.toshibaclassic.com/tickets. Tickets can also be purchased each day of the tournament at the course for $30.
