Creators of the Antigua brand of lifestyle and golf apparel have kept things stylishly simple with its spring Women’s Performance Collection.

Good examples are the Element line that’s traditional in appearance but with an ultra-soft polyester/spandex irregular heather fabric for a higher value perception, and Pure, which is Antigua’s first solid polo in years. The latter line also has a polyester/spandex fabric and styling details such as bust darts and angled side seams for a little pizzazz.

Keeping with the minimalist approach is Strive, a style that combines basic details with an open placket, self-fabric collar and a nylon/polyester/spandex tonal mini-stripe fabric that’s soft and cool to the touch.

The color palette for spring focuses on saturated jewel tones.

“We felt the neon colors were slowly fading away and the more basic, primary colors were coming into play,” said Danielle Delios, a senior designer at Antigua. “Color direction in the sportswear market has been stagnant, so we took our cues from high fashion and made our version out of a more primary palette.”

Colors include a new Fire red, kelly green Verdant, royal blue Hypnotic, yellow Sunburst and a traditional purple mixed with berry called Mardi Gras. These primary jewel tones are paired with black and white throughout the collection.

Since geometric patterns have been strong in the market for a year, Antigua’s spring line holds the line with Radical, Ascent, Modern and Champ styles that feature a version of abstract triangle prints. Radical and Champ are white body styles with a pop of color; Modern and Ascent are color body styles with tonal variations of the print. The sporty aspect of the styles is geared for active wearers who want to look athletic on the course.
